Interns Complete First Project & We Love It

The following post was written by intern Alan Adelberg:

Equipped with an HVX camera and two GoPros, the interns faced a challenge: film and edit a music video for the Owl Creek Community Country Club Swim Team using a new version of Icona Pop’s hit song “I Love It,” rewritten by the Owl Creek members themselves. Armed with this expertly recorded new track by Downtown Recording loaded on their iPods, the interns set out for a couple of days of fun and sun shooting a video by the pool. Along with some new tans, the results can only be described as a resounding success.

Similar to the U.S. Olympic Swim Team’s video showcasing team members lip-syncing lines from Carly Rae Jepsen’s earworm “Call Me Maybe,” the interns caught Owl Creek members showing off their diving and swimming skills while singing their own lyrics. Whether underwater or expertly flipping off the diving board, Owl Creek members demonstrated their team spirit, determination, and sense of fun. With hours of video captured and a tight turn-around deadline, the interns hunkered down for the hardest part: choosing what footage to keep! A day and half of intensive editing later and the video was ready to be shown to an eager audience.

What’s next for the Videobred interns? Stay tuned! Check out the video on YouTube here.
